Welcome to the GovLoop Academy course on data management for video surveillance. In this course, you will learn how your agency can make the most of video data and the importance of having a long-term data management solution to store and retrieve this complex video data.

You’ll be enrolled in five lessons about data management and its importance in a video evidence solution. We’ll explore the role of video in the public sector, the challenges to maintaining the data it creates, and potential solutions to those challenges. We’ll also offer tactics for managing your own video data, through both an interactive exercise and a case study from the city of Rochester, New York.

To learn more about data management for video surveillance, we’ll also hear from expert Ted Hayduk, Global Consulting Solution Architect for Video Surveillance Solutions at NetApp, a storage and data management company.
